Summary:
We’re seeking professional Class 1 HGV Drivers to support trunking routes, RDC runs and general haulage deliveries across the UK. This role suits drivers who take pride in safe driving, accurate paperwork and maintaining a high standard of communication with depots and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 vehicles for trunking, depot runs, store deliveries and timed routes.
- Complete daily vehicle checks, reporting defects promptly to maintain safety and compliance.
- Follow tacho & WTD regulations, ensuring all driving/rest periods are adhered to.
- Manage delivery paperwork including PODs, route sheets and customer signatures.
- Couple/uncouple trailers safely and correctly.
- Maintain a professional, reliable approach with transport teams, RDCs and customers.
- Ensure safe loading and secure trailer doors/curtains at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 licence
- CPC & Digi Card
- Experience with curtainsider or box trailers preferred
- Strong communication, reliability and time‑management
- Ability to work independently and follow route plans accurately
Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
Experience:
- HGV Class 1: 1 year (preferred)
