Technical Operator
Instanta is a global coffee manufacturer with more than 20 years of experience, supplying private-label and B2B customers across international markets.
As part of the launch and development of our new UK operation in Redditch, we are looking for a reliable and technically minded person to operate and take day-to-day responsibility for our production and packing line.
Your role
You will be responsible for the correct setup, operation and continuous running of the production line, ensuring that production is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with required quality standards.
Location: Unit 14, The IO Centre, Nash Road, Redditch, B98 7AS
Shift/ hours: Days based, with flexibility occasionally required (08:00 - 16:00, 37.5 hrs/ week).
Pay Rate: competitive
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure continuous and efficient operation of a semi-automated packing line in accordance with health, safety, hygiene and quality requirements
- Monitor equipment performance, identify and respond to minor technical issues and carry out basic troubleshooting and equipment adjustments
- Maintain accurate production and operational records, including breakdown and deviation reports
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventive maintenance activities
- Complete machine and product changeovers, ensuring correct product and machine components are used
- Cooperate with warehouse, logistics and production teams in the UK and with Instanta’s technical teams in Poland where required
- Ensure cleanliness of equipment and production areas at all times
- Support continuous improvement across production processes
What we are looking for
- Previous experience operating, changing over and setting and troubleshooting production machinery in food, FMCG, packaging or similar environment
- Good technical understanding and confidence working with mechanical equipment;
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, with proficiency in Polish being an advantage
- Flexibility and willingness to support different operational activities at the site;
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the production line during operation
- basic computer skills
- Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
This role would suit someone with previous experience as Technical Operator, Machine Setter, Process Operator or Manufacturing Technician who is flexible and willing to learn, develop and grow together with the business.
