Role of Production Operator – Coatings Facility

A position has become available for a Production Operator in a specialist coating facility. This is a shop floor based role, with a selection of responsibilities that include preparing parts moving onto running parts through the coating process.

Initially this is a permanent role, based on 40 hours per week, with a 3 shift rotation subject to completion of on the job training to a satisfactory level.
The Role (Primary):
Cleaning and preparing parts to ensure suitability for coating.
Masking of parts using either special tapes, high performance lacquers or mechanical masks.
Mechanical cleaning of components.
Completion of paperwork to record the work done, batch size etc as expected for aerospace products.
Working to a job list compiled to meet the customer needs.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have some experience of working in a manufacturing role, and as such, awareness of the critical nature of the work they will be performing.
You will be required to work from your own initiative at times due to the nature of the work.
The candidate must be willing to work shifts, including days, afternoons and night shifts to suit the company needs.
Experience working in a treatments / coatings department would be beneficial.
