The Operational Lead for the Psychosis Pathway provides day‑to‑day operational leadership and management across adult community mental health services. The post holder works closely with the Service Line Manager and clinical leads to ensure services are safe, effective, high‑quality, and delivered in line with Trust strategy, national standards, and available resources. The role focuses on performance delivery, workforce management, service improvement, and clinical governance across the psychosis pathway.
Provide operational leadership and management across the psychosis pathway.
Support delivery of quality, safety, performance, workforce, and financial objectives.
Manage demand, capacity, patient flow, referrals, and waiting times.
Lead and support service development and improvement initiatives.
Line manage and supervise staff, ensuring compliance with HR and mandatory training requirements.
Work collaboratively with clinical leads, MDTs, and external partners to ensure integrated care delivery.
Ensure effective clinical governance, risk management, and response to incidents and complaints.
Contribute to strategic and annual business planning.

Operational Management
Provide day‑to‑day operational oversight of services within the psychosis pathway.
Monitor and manage performance against agreed targets, reporting on activity, quality, and finance.
Ensure services are delivered within agreed budgets and operational policies.
Represent the Service Line Manager as required.
Leadership and Workforce
Provide clear leadership, line management, supervision, and appraisal for staff.
Support workforce planning, recruitment, development, and retention.
Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery.
Support staff through performance and capability processes in line with Trust policy.
Service Development and Quality
Lead and contribute to service improvement, transformation, and recovery plans.
Ensure robust clinical governance arrangements are in place and maintained.
Support audits, service evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure learning from incidents, complaints, and audits is embedded into practice.
Communication and Partnership Working
Maintain effective communication with staff, service users, carers, and partner agencies.
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver seamless pathway care.
