In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the look, integrity and safety of our grade 2 listed building . Fixing issues promptly, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for all occupants. Your proactive approach, hands on experience and technical skills will help prevent disruptions and enhance operational excellence across our facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
- To maintain and upkeep the faculty. This includes carpentry and painting repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and safety checks.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from operations management to resolve issues efficiently.
- Lead small teams during scheduled maintenance projects or emergency repairs with strong leadership skills.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among staff.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in general maintenance, electrical and equipment repair.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems such as taps, water heaters and toilets.
- Proficiency with electrical systems and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical work and general building maintenance.
