Job Summary
Level 3 in Playwork/Early Years Childcare is Essential with experience within a childcare setting.
First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates are desirable but employer can train if required.
Duties to include is to assist with preparation and providing breakfast for the children and to provide activities for children and to enable the club to run in line with the National Minimum Standards and Regulations set out by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
the successful application is required to hold a clear Enhanced Disclosure (DBS) the cost of the DBS must be met by the employee.
Duties
- Supervise children during breakfast club sessions, ensuring their safety and well-being from morning arrival through breakfast time
- Organize fun, educational activities that promote social interaction, creativity, and learning after school hours
- Assist with homework support and encourage positive behavior among children in your care
- Maintain a clean, organized environment by setting up activities and tidying up shared spaces regularly
- Support children's individual needs by providing attentive childcare, including feeding, supervising play, and ensuring their comfort
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other team members to deliver a consistent and enriching experience for all children
- Drive school transportation when required, ensuring safe pick-up and drop-off routines (if qualified)
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns
