Overview
This is general haulage, normally tramping Monday to Friday with around four nights out each week.
It's varied work rather than running the same trunk every night. You'll be completing collections and deliveries for our customers across the UK, including full loads, palletised freight and trailer swaps.
We use driver technology for job instructions, updates and PODs, so we're looking for drivers who are comfortable using an app and taking responsibility for keeping their jobs updated.
We don't want our drivers constantly phoning the office, and we don't want the office constantly chasing our drivers.
You'll be trusted to get on with the job professionally.
Who we're looking for
We're particularly interested in hearing from experienced trampers who already understand general haulage.
You'll need:
- Class 1 / Category C+E licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and Working Time rules
- Professional attitude with customers
- Good vehicle and equipment care
- Ability to use a smartphone-based driver app
- Reliable and sensible approach to the job
ADR is desirable but not essential. ADR-qualified drivers receive an additional £50 per week.
