About the Role:
Glasgow has built a strong reputation for technology, engineering and creative innovation, and at Teen Patti 3D Pvt Ltd, we bring that same energy to the software products we create. We develop reliable digital platforms that help organisations modernise their operations, improve customer experiences and make better use of data.
We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer who can provide technical direction across complex software projects. This is a senior hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving difficult engineering problems, improving development standards and helping other engineers perform at their best.
You will work closely with product managers, designers, cloud specialists and business stakeholders to turn technical requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable software solutions.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment:
Our Glasgow office provides a professional and collaborative setting where engineers can focus on meaningful work. We support a practical working culture built around clear communication, shared ownership and continuous improvement.
Technical Influence:
You will have a genuine voice in architectural decisions, engineering standards and technology selection. We value engineers who can challenge assumptions, explain trade-offs and recommend solutions based on evidence.
Modern Engineering:
Our teams work with modern cloud platforms, automated deployment pipelines, containerised applications and contemporary software development frameworks. We encourage sensible adoption of new technologies rather than following trends without purpose.
Professional Growth:
You will have access to technical training, professional certifications, industry events and dedicated development time to strengthen your engineering and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Software Architecture:
Design scalable application architectures and define technical approaches for new products, platform improvements and system integrations.
Hands-on Development:
Contribute high-quality production code, resolve complex technical issues and support the delivery of critical software components.
Engineering Standards:
Establish and maintain coding standards, testing practices, documentation requirements and secure development principles across the engineering team.
Technical Leadership:
Mentor software engineers, lead technical discussions, review code and provide practical guidance that improves team performance.
Cloud and Platform Development:
Support the development and optimisation of cloud-based services, APIs, databases and distributed applications.
Performance and Reliability:
Identify system bottlenecks, improve application performance and help ensure that platforms remain secure, stable and available.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with product, design, quality assurance and infrastructure teams to translate business needs into realistic technical solutions.
Stakeholder Communication:
Explain complex technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including associated risks, costs and delivery considerations.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience, including experience leading technical projects or mentoring other developers.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong experience with modern backend or full-stack development using technologies such as C Sharp, Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript or similar programming languages.
Architecture:
Practical experience designing APIs, cloud applications, microservices, distributed systems or enterprise software platforms.
Cloud Platforms:
Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
Engineering Practices:
Strong understanding of automated testing, continuous integration, continuous deployment, version control and secure software development.
Problem Solving:
You can analyse complex technical problems, identify the underlying cause and recommend solutions that balance quality, cost and delivery speed.
Communication:
Strong written and verbal English skills with the ability to communicate clearly with engineers, clients and senior stakeholders.
Mindset:
You are pragmatic, accountable and comfortable making technical decisions. You understand when a solution needs to be highly scalable and when a simpler approach is more appropriate
