We are looking for after an After School and breakfast Club Supervisor from 3pm to 6 pm Monday to Thursday term time. and Mon to Fri 7.45-8.45 am. You must be a strong team player with the skills and ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, children and parents.
The main requirements for the role are effective communication with your team. A qualification of level 2 or above in childcare. First Aid and safeguarding training. Additional training can be provided. You must have some understanding or how an after school club operates and the requirements of Ofsted, so someone who has worked in this area or managed another childcare setting is preferable.
- Working as part of a team and leading 4 or 5 playworkers
- Ensuring that the children have a healthy snack and that the resources at the setting are in good order and replenished.
- Carrying out regular risk assessment's and ensuring children are provided with diverse activities to do.
- Maintaining the daily diary by signing in children and following up non attendance
- Liaising with parents and being confident to provide feedback regarding their child
- Managing safeguarding issues
- Completing accident/behaviour/incident forms and bringing any important matters to the attention of the senior management.
- Ensuring that children are kept safe and that rules of the setting are implemented.
- Providing assistance to new staff members and conducting regular staff reviews
- Ensuring that staff are continually updating their own training and maintaining staff files
