Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers and to lead small groups within our school. You will need to be able to work under your own initiative and to be adaptable to meet the needs of our small team.
Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to students’ individual needs.
- Support pupils with additional needs.
- Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging participation, behaviour management, and social interaction among pupils.
- Assist with organising learning materials, resources, and classroom displays to create an inviting educational space.
- Support students during break times, lunchtimes, and extracurricular activities to promote social development.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with pupils, teachers, and parents..
- A caring attitude with patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in supporting children's educational journeys.
