Marketing Executive
Location: St Helens, Merseyside
Salary: £25,000–£30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About Higher End
Higher End is a family-run construction company delivering planned maintenance, refurbishments, boiler installations, supported living developments and property projects across the North West.
Over the past 12 months we have invested heavily in our brand, website, content creation and marketing. We are now looking for the right person to build on those foundations and help grow the business.
Initially, your main focus will be Higher End Energy, where our aim is to increase private boiler installations and build a scalable customer acquisition system. As the business grows, you will also support the marketing of the wider Higher End Group, including Higher End Construction, Eden Bay Serviced Apartments and future developments.
This is an office and site-based role working from our St Helens office and travel to sites across the North West is an essential part of the position.
About the role
This is much more than a social media role.
We're not looking for someone to simply manage social media or create content. We're looking for someone who can help us grow the business by building a scalable marketing and customer acquisition system that generates enquiries, converts leads into customers and creates long-term revenue.
You'll work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement marketing campaigns, improve our online presence, create engaging content and build marketing systems that deliver measurable business growth.
A key part of this role will be designing, implementing and continuously improving our customer acquisition funnel. From the first point of contact through to conversion and repeat business, you'll be responsible for helping us build a marketing system that generates consistent, high-quality enquiries whilst delivering a strong return on investment.
You'll work closely with the Managing Director to monitor performance, analyse data and continually improve the process to maximise revenue while keeping customer acquisition costs as efficient as possible.
This is a hands-on role and will involve spending time both in the office and out on site, creating content, meeting customers and learning how the business operates.
Main responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns across the Higher End Group.
- Design, build and continually improve our customer acquisition funnels.
- Generate qualified enquiries through digital marketing campaigns.
- Create and manage content across all social media platforms.
- Film and edit videos on site and in the office.
- Visit construction sites to capture project updates, customer testimonials and completed works.
- Manage and improve the company websites.
- Support and optimise Google Ads, Meta Ads and SEO campaigns.
- Monitor marketing performance and produce weekly KPI reports.
- Analyse campaign performance, cost per lead, cost per acquisition and return on investment.
- Improve conversion rates throughout the customer journey.
- Research competitors and identify new opportunities.
- Work closely with the Managing Director to build the Higher End brand and online presence.
- Support marketing across Higher End Energy, Higher End Construction and other projects
- Continually review and improve marketing systems to increase revenue whilst maintaining marketing efficiency.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who enjoys building businesses and wants to make a genuine impact.
The successful candidate will:
- Think commercially and understand how marketing contributes to business growth.
- Enjoy analysing data and improving performance.
- Be driven by generating measurable results rather than simply producing content.
- Understand customer acquisition, lead generation and conversion.
- Be creative with a commercial mindset.
- Be organised, proactive and willing to take ownership.
- Be confident communicating with people.
- Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Be happy filming and editing content.
- Want to build systems that can scale as the business grows.
- Be looking for a long-term career within a growing business.
Essential requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Access to your own vehicle.
- Willing to travel to sites across the North West.
- Experience creating content for social media.
- Good understanding of digital marketing.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Confident using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or similar editing software.
Desirable
- Experience managing Google Ads campaigns.
- Experience with Meta advertising.
- Knowledge of SEO and website optimisation.
- Experience using Google Analytics.
- Photography and videography experience.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Construction, property or home improvement industry experience.
How success will be measured
Success in this role won't be measured by the number of posts you publish or followers you gain.
Instead, we'll measure the impact your work has on the growth of the business, including:
- Building a scalable customer acquisition funnel.
- Increasing qualified enquiries.
- Improving website conversion rates.
- Reducing customer acquisition costs.
- Generating measurable return on marketing investment.
- Increasing private boiler installations.
- Growing the Higher End brand.
- Supporting the continued growth of the wider Higher End Group.
What you'll receive
- Salary of £25,000–£30,000 depending on experience.
- Full-time permanent position.
- Opportunity to work directly with the Managing Director.
- Genuine responsibility from day one.
- Ongoing training and development.
- Career progression as the business continues to grow.
Why join Higher End?
This is an opportunity to join a growing family business where your ideas will be listened to and your work will make a genuine difference.
You'll have the opportunity to build and implement marketing strategies that directly influence the growth of the business. We want someone who enjoys solving problems, testing new ideas and taking ownership of their work.
You'll be encouraged to challenge the way we do things, bring new ideas to the table and help us build marketing systems that generate long-term, sustainable growth.
If you're ambitious, commercially minded and want to play a key role in helping grow a business, we'd love to hear from you
