Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. To cover maternity leave From September until March 2027 (with a Possibility of a permanent position) 25-30 hour is an available.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of children within our nursery setting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills while working in a nurturing environment that values early childhood education. Applicants should have a passion for working with children, strong communication skills, and relevant nursery experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Support children's individual needs through personalised care and attention.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop educational programmes aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and well-being.
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices and fostering positive behaviour among children.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to manage groups of children effectively while ensuring their safety.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 2-3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred.
