Warehouse Operative
Isaac Lord Ltd | High Wycombe | Full time, permanent | Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
About us
Isaac Lord is a specialist trade distributor supplying tools, hardware and fittings to manufacturers across the UK. We work with brands like Blum, Festool, Lamello, Mirka and Reisser, and much of what we send out ends up in high end, bespoke kitchens and furniture. We're a small, close knit team, and everyone here matters.
The role
We're looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team in High Wycombe. Reporting to our Warehouse Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of getting orders out accurately and on time.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Unloading deliveries, checking goods against paperwork and booking them in
- Putting stock away and relocating it as needed
- Picking and packing customer orders for courier despatch, including wrapping, labelling and manifesting
- Carrying out stock takes
- Keeping the warehouse, racking and floor safe, clean and tidy
What we're looking for
Attitude matters more to us than experience. If you've worked in a warehouse, builders merchant or trade counter before then great, but we'd far rather take someone with less experience and the right approach and train them properly.
You'll be someone who:
- Turns up and is reliable. We're a small team, so one person missing is felt straight away
- Takes real care with accuracy. A mispick on a bespoke kitchen order costs us a customer relationship, not just a carriage charge
- Speaks up. If something doesn't look right, we want you to flag it rather than put it through and hope
- Communicates well. You'll be happy to pick the phone up to the sales office and sort something out directly
- Is proactive. You get on with things without needing to be chased
- Is organised and comfortable using handheld scanners, a warehouse system and basic Excel. Full training given on our systems
- Will go the extra mile when it's needed
The role is physically active. You'll be on your feet all day with regular manual handling.
A counterbalance forklift licence would be a real plus but is not essential.
