Play a key role in the safe installation, maintenance and repair of high‑voltage electrical systems across substations, industrial sites and distribution networks
- Ensure the reliable operation of HV assets in line with statutory regulations and company procedures
- Work within a skilled engineering team delivering essential HV services to critical infrastructure

Carry out planned and reactive HV maintenance on switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers and associated equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimise downtime and maintain system reliability
- Install HV components, cabling and protection systems to engineering specifications
- Perform HV testing (VLF, insulation resistance, pressure testing) and support commissioning activities
- Work in accordance with HV safety rules, permits, RAMS and UK legislation including EAWR and PUWER
- Complete job sheets, test records and asset documentation accurately
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Experience working on 11kV–33kV systems and above
- Competence in HV switching (AP/CP authorisation desirable)
- Strong understanding of electrical protection systems
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience working within substations or distribution network environments
- Familiarity with HV commissioning processes
- Additional HV authorisations or safety certifications
