ROBOT WELDER / ROBOTIC WELDING MACHINE OPERATOR

Blink Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Robot Welder / Robotic Welding Machine Operator for an established manufacturing client in the Alsager area.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with brand-new robotic welding machinery within a modern manufacturing environment. Previous robotic welding experience would be advantageous but is not essential. However, applicants must have basic MIG welding experience and a strong, trackable background operating industrial machinery.
Working hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am–3:45pm
- Friday: 6:00am–1:00pm
- No weekend working
- Early finish every Friday
Pay
- £14.26–£14.95 per hour
- Final rate will depend on experience
Key responsibilities
- Operating new robotic welding machines safely and efficiently
- Loading and positioning components correctly into welding fixtures and jigs
- Setting up and monitoring the machine throughout the welding cycle
- Checking completed welds and finished components for quality and consistency
- Carrying out basic MIG welding, touch-ups and minor rework where required
- Identifying and reporting machinery, welding or quality issues
- Completing routine machine checks and recording production information
- Working accurately to production targets and quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area
- Following all company health and safety procedures
Essential experience
To be considered, applicants must have:
- Basic MIG welding experience as a minimum
- Strong and trackable machine-operation experience
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment
- Experience operating industrial or automated machinery
- A good understanding of quality inspection and safe working procedures
- The ability to work accurately and consistently in a busy production environment
- A reliable work history and a positive attitude towards work
Experience operating robotic welding equipment would be beneficial, although candidates with the right combination of MIG welding and industrial machine-operation experience are encouraged to apply.
