Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of a reputable Nursing care home specialising in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of resident care, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance. Duties
- Lead and manage the care home team, fostering a positive and professional working environment
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual resident needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care
- Oversee medication administration in accordance with legal and organisational policies
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including safeguarding procedures
- Supervise staff recruitment, training, and performance management to maintain high standards of care
- Monitor quality assurance processes and conduct regular audits to ensure continuous improvement
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies to coordinate effective resident care
- Manage budgets, resources, and operational activities efficiently to ensure smooth running of the home
Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior care settings such as nursing homes or care homes
- Strong background in nursing or healthcare management with relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ 5)
- Demonstrable experience in managing care homes with supervision experience in a leadership role
- Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care best practices
- Skilled in developing and overseeing personalised care plans and medication administration
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead teams effectively
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional resident-centred care
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements within the adult social care sector
