SWL are looking for a motivated and capable Test Engineer to join our team based in Invergordon. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in lifting operations, inspection, testing, engineering, or a related industry who is looking to develop their career.
We understand that not every candidate will hold all the required qualifications. If you have relevant industry experience or qualifications at a similar level and the right attitude, we are happy to invest in your development by providing the training needed to become fully competent in the role.
About the Role
As a Lifting Test Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out the testing, inspection and certification of lifting equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with current legislation and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out testing and inspection of lifting equipment and accessories.
- Complete accurate inspection reports and certification documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, standards and company procedures.
- Identify defects and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain high standards of safety and quality at all times.
- Liaise professionally with customers and colleagues on site.
What We're Looking For
We'd like to hear from candidates who have:
- Experience in lifting equipment, non-destructive testing, mechanical engineering, inspection, maintenance, testing, or a related industry.
- Relevant qualifications or demonstrable experience at a comparable level.
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- A strong commitment to health and safety.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A full UK driving licence essential.
