Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Female Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to a lady with a spinal injury who lives at home in the B30 area. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team environment.
Hours
Hours required are weekends
Saturday 8am till 12.30 and 18.00 till 20.00
Sunday 8am till 12.30
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support clients with mobility and movement around their home using a ceiling track hoist for transfers
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Shopping and light household chores
- Follow individual care plans to meet specific needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
- Support clients with medication
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for all clients at all times
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and team members
- Driving licence is desirable but not essential
- Experience providing home care or working within a care home
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures to deliver personalised support effectively
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to help others
Training and shadow work will be provided and successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
