We are seeking a vigilant and proactive SIA Construction Site Security Banksman to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment on construction sites by controlling access points, monitoring activity through surveillance systems, and ensuring the safety of all personnel and assets. Responsibilities
- Manage entry and exit points of the construction site, verifying identities and authorizations for workers, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel.
- NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE AND HAVE OWN VEHICLE AS THERE ARE NO TRANSPORT ROUTES.
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing for theft, vandalism, or safety hazards and responding promptly to incidents.
- Maintain clear communication with site managers and emergency responders in case of security breaches or emergencies.
- Perform visual inspections of the site perimeter, fences, and access routes to identify vulnerabilities or breaches.
- Record all security activities through detailed shift reports, incident logs.
Experience
- Previous experience in security roles, preferably within construction or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention methods and security best practices.
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license required; additional certifications in first aid are advantageous.
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts and respond swiftly to security concerns or emergencies.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and emergency services.
