Are you a talented vocalist with a passion for inspiring the next generation of performers? Little Voices Leicester is seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled Singing & Musical Theatre Teacher to join our team!
Location: Glenfield and Whetstone, Leicester
Pay: £25 per hour (Starting wage)
Hours: After-school and week-nights (Term time: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). Additional opportunities available during school holidays.
We pride ourselves on teaching singing lessons of distinction in small, supportive groups (maximum of 8 children), ensuring every child gets the attention they need to thrive, build confidence, and have fun.
What You’ll Do:
- Inspire & Educate: Teach singing and musical theatre to small groups of 8 children, focusing on vocal technique and performance skills.
- Creativity in Action: Plan and deliver engaging, fun, and educational lessons.
- Build Confidence: Foster a positive, joyful learning environment where every child feels safe and heard.
- Connect: Maintain professional, warm rapport with pupils, parents, and fellow tutors.
What You’ll Bring (Essential):
- Vocal Expertise: Strong vocal technique and formal vocal training.
- Engaging Teaching Style: Excellent teaching skills with the ability to captivate children and manage group behaviour positively.
- Reliability: You are organised, punctual, hardworking, and a brilliant team player.
Bonus Points (Ideal but not deal-breakers):
- A degree in Performing Arts/Music or significant industry experience.
- Experience teaching children and/or knowledge of the LAMDA exam syllabus.
- A valid driving licence and access to a car.
- Existing DBS, Public Liability Insurance, and training in First Aid/Safeguarding (don't worry if you don't have these yet - we can help arrange them for the right candidate!).
