Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls into the category of requiring a DBS check (standard).
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior BMS to work in The Doctors Laboratory (TDL) Blood Transfusion Laboratory situated within Ross Hall Hospital, Glasgow.
You will have a strong transfusion background and looking to develop managerial and professional responsibilities in a progressive and forward-thinking department, working with a friendly and collaborative team within blood sciences.
Ross Hall Hospital is Scotland’s largest private hospital and offers a wide range of private services for those who live in Glasgow and the West of Scotland. BMI Healthcare joined forces with Circle Health Group in January 2020, and Ross Hall Hospital is currently benefitting from a major £250m national investment programme in facilities, technology and people.
Ross Hall is the only private hospital in Scotland with a level 3, 5 bed Intensive Care Unit which allows them to carry out complex cardiac surgery and complex bowel cases. Their Cancer Centre is also accredited with the McMillan Quality Environment Mark.
The successful candidate will be involved in the operational responsibility for our UKAS accredited Blood Transfusion department, and will be key to assisting in the ongoing Blood Tracking Project, soon to be implemented across the TDL/HSL group. We are looking for a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist, with experience of change management, to support the department going forwards.
