Crescent Medical, part of the Crescent Pharmaceutical Group, is seeking a Pharmaceutical Warehouse Operative to join our MHRA-approved pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Westhoughton.
Working within a regulated GMP environment, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, control and distribution of pharmaceutical materials that support the manufacture of high-quality medicines supplied throughout the UK. This role requires excellent attention to detail, a proactive approach and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and safety.
The Role
As a Pharmaceutical Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of materials throughout the manufacturing facility while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and book in incoming materials and finished goods.
- Store and control stock in accordance with GMP and internal procedures.
- Pick, issue and transfer materials to Production accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate stock records, inventory transactions and stock cards.
- Generate and apply quarantine, released and status labels to materials and products.
- Support stock counts and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Safely move materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload deliveries and containers when required.
- Shrink wrap, prepare and dispatch finished goods.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in accordance with GMP and Health & Safety requirements.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous warehouse experience, ideally within a pharmaceutical, manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Valid fork-lift truck license
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible and proactive approach to changing priorities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy with confidence using warehouse or inventory systems.
- Good numerical skills.
- An understanding of GMP or GDP requirements would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
