Overview
We are seeking a Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists and ensure patients receive high-quality care in a comfortable environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care. The position is suitable for a GDC registered nurses or could be structured as a training role. Salary is experience dependent.
Duties
- Assist clincians during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised
- Provide patient care, including explaining procedures, offering reassurance, and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT and written systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing documentation
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Assist with stock management, including ordering supplies and maintaining equipment
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
- Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Proficiency in record keeping and appointment management
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Effective communication skills to explain procedures clearly and reassure anxious patients
- Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating professionalism and adaptability at all times

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
