DENTAL PRACTICE MANAGER
78MPR Dental Practice
Location: 78–80 Mount Pleasant Road, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1RJ
Hours: Full-time, five days per week, 8:30am–5:00pm. Four days may be considered for the right candidate; however, flexibility will be required.
Salary: £32,000–£35,000 per annum, depending on experience (pro rata for part-time hours)
About the role
78MPR is looking for an experienced, highly organised and proactive Dental Practice Manager to join our friendly team in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.
We are a small dental practice with a strong team ethos. We value each member of our team, encourage continuing professional development and believe in creating a supportive working environment where everyone can contribute to the practice’s ongoing success.
This is a hands-on and varied position for someone who enjoys taking ownership, supporting others and ensuring that every aspect of the practice runs smoothly.
The role combines day-to-day practice management, compliance, team leadership and support, specialist patient coordination, facilities management, administration and reception, finance and social media - so no two days are quite the same.
Although this is ideally a full-time position, we would consider four days per week for an exceptional candidate who can offer the flexibility required to meet the needs of the practice.
What you'll be responsible for
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the practice
- Managing full dental compliance and CQC readiness
- Leading infection prevention and control
- Managing radiation protection and DXPS
- Fire safety, health & safety and risk assessments
- Legionella and COSHH management
- Coordinating servicing and maintenance of all practice equipment and facilities
- Managing clinical waste and medicines compliance
- Information governance
- Supplier and associate invoicing
- Supporting bookkeeping alongside our accountant
- Drafting and sending clinician treatment reports using Adobe e-sign
- Organising monthly practice meetings
- Keeping practice policies, procedures and manuals up to date
- Providing reception and administrative support when required
- If GDC registered, providing dental nurse duties when required
- Coordinating our specialist paediatric and sedation patient journeys
- Organising and booking General Anaesthetic procedures at Cromwell Hospital
- Supporting the practice's social media and ensuring content remains consistent with the 78MPR brand
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous dental practice management or senior dental administration experience.
- Good knowledge of CQC requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident working independently.
- Ability to take ownership and use initiative.
- Professional and approachable manner.
- Strong IT and administrative skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Desirable
- GDC registered dental nurse.
- Knowledge of dental sedation pathways.
- Experience coordinating GA patients and hospital bookings.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Sign.
- Experience with social media and content creation.
- Experience with invoicing and bookkeeping administration
