We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and accounting skills, who is confident working independently and managing a busy daily workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full sales ledger and oversee accounts receivable
- Chase outstanding payments via phone, email, and letter
- Set up and monitor customer payment plans
- Dispute resolution and query handling
- Maintain aged debtor reports and escalate high-risk accounts
- Work closely with account managers on customer balance issues
General Finance Duties
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts
- Handle customer and supplier queries
- Process supplier invoices and purchase orders
- Assist with monthly management accounts
- Cover for other accounts assistants during annual leave
Requirements
- Must have experience using Sage
- Previous credit control experience
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Good communication skills when dealing with suppliers and colleagues
- Reliable, professional, and able to handle confidential information
Full time 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday
Pay: £30,225.00 per year
