About the role:
We’re looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic and people-focused Apprentice Marketing and Events Coordinator to take the lead on planning and delivering exciting events that showcase everything our college has to offer.
From large-scale open events and employer networking evenings to community activities, careers fairs and external exhibitions, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable experiences that inspire future students, strengthen partnerships and raise the profile of the college.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm for the role, and a hands-on approach. We want someone with some experience, but mainly someone with a passion for marketing and events, who is able to bring ideas and a fresh perspective to the team whilst looking for a challenge and being keen to learn and develop in the role.
This is 360 role, involving all aspects of marketing and events. You will be expected to engage in a variety of campaigns, projects, events and tasks as part of the team to support our recruitment targets.

You’ll coordinate and oversee a wide range of internal and outward-facing events including:

Open Events
- Employer networking events
- Community engagement activities
- Student recruitment events
- Information evenings
- Celebration and showcase events
You’ll make sure every event is well organised, engaging and delivers a positive experience for visitors, students, employers and stakeholders.
You’ll also oversee the college’s involvement in external events including:

Careers fairs
- School events
- Business exhibitions
- Partnership activities
You’ll help to identify suitable opportunities, manage bookings and logistics, and coordinate the right staff representation to ensure the college is promoted professionally and effectively.
You’ll manage all the behind-the-scenes planning that helps events run smoothly, including:

Event schedules and logistics
- Communication with internal teams and external partners
- Room bookings and event set-up
- Promotional materials and signage
- Guest registrations and attendee management
- Supplier and stakeholder coordination
- Review and evaluation of events
You’ll work closely with a range of staff teams, marketing, curriculum teams, schools, employers and senior staff to ensure every event is impactful and well delivered.
Events are a huge part of how we connect with future students and partners, so you’ll help create experiences that are welcoming, informative and memorable. As part of your role you will be involved in supporting the marketing function including:

Support the Marketing and Communications team through implementation of marketing activities associated with the marketing strategy.
- Write copy for website content, press releases and social media.
- Campaign management - working with the team to create engaging and innovative campaigns throughout the year for a range of audiences. We welcome all ideas!
- Support the evaluation of marketing activity and provide appropriate data specific to this.
- Creating and supporting the creation of new and innovative content, including written, design and video content, for various platforms and audiences.
- Editing and updating website content as required.
You’ll support the wider marketing and engagement team by helping to increase attendance, improve visitor experience and strengthen the college’s reputation within the community.
