- Identify and secure new business with pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, bottle shops, retailers and other trade customers.
- Follow up enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Prepare quotations and communicate pricing and product availability.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales information.
- Reactivate previous and lapsed customer accounts.
- Work closely with the brewing, production and delivery teams to ensure excellent customer service.
- Identify new sales opportunities, markets and routes to grow the business.
- Represent Durham Brewery at festivals, trade events and promotional activities when required.
- Contribute ideas for new product launches, promotions and marketing campaigns.
- Provide regular feedback on customer activity, sales opportunities and market trends.
About You

- Is friendly, approachable and confident speaking with customers.
- Builds strong, lasting relationships and enjoys helping customers.
- Is organised, dependable and able to manage their own workload.
- Has a positive, proactive and commercially minded approach.
- Enjoys working as part of a friendly, supportive team and values collaboration.
- Has good IT skills and is comfortable using email, spreadsheets and customer management systems.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
Experience in sales, account management, hospitality, brewing or the drinks industry would be an advantage, but it isn't essential. We're equally interested in enthusiastic people with excellent customer service skills, a willingness to learn and a genuine passion for building relationships.
What We Offer
- Full-time, permanent employment.
- Salary of £26,520 per annum, with performance-related bonuses.
- 28 days' annual leave per year, including bank holidays. Due to the nature of the business, you may be required to work on bank holidays.
- Workplace pension.
- Ongoing training and support to develop your knowledge of our beers, customers and business.
- The opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of Durham Brewery.
- A varied and rewarding role where your ideas and contribution will genuinely influence the future of the business.
- A friendly, supportive and collaborative working environment where everyone works together and takes pride in what they do.
