Pay and Bill - Finance Administrator

About the Role -
As a Finance Administrator, you will be part of a supportive and experienced Pay & Bill function, playing a key role in ensuring contractors are paid accurately and on time, and that clients are billed correctly in line with contractual agreements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance or operations career who is keen to develop their skills in a fast‑paced, commercial environment. You will support the day‑to‑day processing of timesheets, contractor pay, and client invoicing, working closely with Sales Consultants and the wider Finance team to resolve payment and billing queries.
Full training will be provided on systems and processes, with ongoing support and the opportunity to pursue further professional study.
Responsibilities:
Pay & Timesheet Processing
· Process and validate contractor timesheets, ensuring correct hours, rates, and approvals.
· Process purchase invoices, checking for accuracy and compliance.
· Support weekly and monthly contractor pay runs for UK and EU workers.
· Review unpaid timesheets and investigate reasons for non‑payment.
· Request missing invoices and amendments where required.
· Resolve pay queries from contractors and suppliers.
Client Invoicing
· Generate accurate client invoices in line with agreed charge rates and contracts.
· Raise invoices based on client bespoke requirements, including invoicing portals and self-billing.
· Respond to and resolve client billing queries.
· Manage adjustments and rebills when required.
· Track and manage client purchase orders.
· Review uninvoiced timesheets and take appropriate action.
What we look for:
· A finance qualification or at least one year of relevant experience.
· Strong written and spoken English, with confidence communicating via email and phone.
· Good working knowledge of Excel.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong organisational and communication skills.
· A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
