Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting clients with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Helping with medication management in accordance with care plans
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any concerns or changes in clients’ conditions
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities as required
- Following health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Assisting with light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organising personal spaces
Skills
- Driving licence is desirable for supporting mobility needs outside the home or care setting
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous
- Ability to follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Good IT skills for recording information accurately and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations with discretion
