About us
Advanced Damp Ltd is a specialist damp proofing and structural waterproofing contractor working across London and the Home Counties. We survey, diagnose and fix damp, condensation, timber decay and basement water ingress for homeowners, landlords, letting agents and property professionals. We're a member of the Federation of Damp.
We're a small, fast-moving team. You'll have real ownership of your work from day one, and you'll be able to see the direct impact of what you do on the business.
The role
This is a mixed sales and administration role, and it sits right at the centre of the business. You'll be the first voice most customers hear.
Your job is to turn enquiries into booked surveys, keep the diary full, build relationships with the people who send us repeat work, and keep the back office running smoothly.
It would suit someone who enjoys talking to people, is organised enough to keep on top of detail, and wants variety rather than doing the same task all day.
What you'll be doing
Enquiries and bookings
- Answering inbound calls, emails and web enquiries quickly and professionally
- Qualifying enquiries — understanding the problem, the property and the urgency
- Converting enquiries into booked surveys and getting them into the diary
- Following up on enquiries that don't book first time, and on quotes that haven't been decided
- Keeping the CRM accurate so nothing slips through the cracks
Outbound and relationship building
- Proactive outreach to letting agents, estate agents, property managers, surveyors, builders and architects
- Building and maintaining a pipeline of referral partners who send us regular work
- Following up with past customers and dormant accounts
- Keeping in touch with contacts so Advanced Damp is the first call when damp comes up
Admin support
- Diary management and route planning for the survey team
- Invoicing, chasing payments and general customer account admin
- Keeping records, documents and job files organised and up to date
- General support to the directors and wider team
What we're looking for

- Able to juggle several things at once without dropping any of them
- Comfortable with CRM's
- Reliable, self-motivated and happy working in a small team
Nice to have (but not essential — we'll train the right person)
- Experience in sales, customer service, telesales or an account management role
- Experience in construction, property, trades, lettings or a related industry

We care more about attitude, work ethic and how you handle a customer than we do about your CV. If you've got the right temperament and you're willing to learn the technical side, we'll teach you the rest.
