We’re an independent fashion e-commerce brand looking for a commercially minded Paid Social & Performance Marketing Assistant to help us test, optimise and grow our paid advertising across TikTok and Meta.
TikTok has historically been one of our key sales and growth channels, and we’re now looking to build on our existing organic performance through a stronger and more structured paid acquisition strategy across both TikTok and Meta.
This is not a general social media management or content-posting role.
We’re looking for someone genuinely interested in performance marketing, e-commerce and paid acquisition who understands that successful advertising is ultimately about generating profitable sales — not simply impressions, followers or engagement.
This isn't a trainee role, so you should already have hands-on experience running paid campaigns and be comfortable working within TikTok and/or Meta Ads Manager.
Equally, we're not looking for a senior Paid Media Manager to independently run an entire marketing department. You'll work directly with the founder, with meaningful input into campaign decisions, creative testing and optimisation.
For the right person, there is significant opportunity to take greater ownership as the brand and its paid activity grow.
What you'll be doing
- Setting up and managing paid campaigns across TikTok and Meta
- Monitoring and optimising live campaigns
- Testing different products, creatives, hooks, audiences and formats
- Identifying successful organic TikTok content and products that could be tested through paid advertising
- Testing UGC, creator-led and product-focused advertising
- Analysing performance across CPA, ROAS, CTR, CPC, CPM and conversion rate
- Identifying winning and underperforming ads and creative
- Making recommendations on when to stop, iterate or scale campaigns
- Supporting retargeting and product/catalogue campaigns
- Helping develop structured creative-testing plans
- Working with our creative support to request and test new ad variations
- Researching competitor advertising and emerging TikTok/Meta creative trends
- Producing clear, straightforward performance reports and recommendations
- Helping us continuously improve our approach to paid customer acquisition
What we're looking for
You should have:
- Hands-on experience running TikTok and/or Meta paid campaigns
- Experience working with e-commerce conversion/sales campaigns
- Confidence working independently within Ads Manager
- A strong understanding of CPA, ROAS and advertising profitability
- Experience analysing campaign data and making optimisation decisions
- An understanding of creative testing and the relationship between creative and performance
- An understanding of short-form/social-first advertising
- Strong commercial judgement
- Confidence working with numbers and performance data
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- A genuine interest in fashion, TikTok and e-commerce
Experience across both TikTok and Meta is strongly preferred, although we'd consider someone particularly strong on one platform with a good understanding of the other.
Nice to have
Experience with any of the following would be a bonus, but isn't essential:
- Shopify
- TikTok Shop
- Fashion or retail e-commerce
- Google Ads / Google Shopping
- Pinterest Ads
- GA4
- Product feeds/catalogue advertising
- Meta Pixel / TikTok Pixel
We don't expect applicants to be experts across every platform. TikTok and Meta are the priority.
Who this role could suit
This could be a great opportunity for someone currently working as a:
- Paid Social Executive
- Performance Marketing Executive
- Paid Media Executive
- Freelance Paid Social Specialist
- Early-career performance marketer looking for additional hands-on e-commerce experience
We're looking for someone who already knows their way around paid advertising and can contribute from the start, while still being excited about developing their skills and taking on greater responsibility as the brand grows.

Please send your CV and briefly tell us:
- Which paid platforms you have hands-on experience with, particularly TikTok and Meta
- Any relevant e-commerce experience
- One example of a paid campaign you've worked on and the result

There is scope for increased hours, responsibility and progression as the brand's paid advertising activity grows.
