Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
A highly respected specialist school in Salisbury is expanding due to a significant increase in student numbers and is looking to appoint five dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their supportive and experienced team. With two brand-new classes opening, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing school that is making a genuine difference in the lives of its students.
The school caters for pupils with SEMH needs and provides a nurturing, structured environment where positive relationships and consistency are at the heart of everything they do. Current Vacancies
Year 7 Class Teaching Assistant
Supporting a small class of students with SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will be resilient, patient and able to bring a playful yet consistent approach to the classroom, helping students to engage positively with learning.
Year 9 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Working closely with a secondary-aged student with complex SEMH needs, trauma and attachment difficulties. This role focuses on building trust, encouraging emotional regulation and supporting the student's gradual reintegration into school life.
KS1 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Providing dedicated support for a primary-aged pupil with Autism (ASD), SEMH needs and significant attachment difficulties. This role requires someone who can build strong relationships while maintaining clear boundaries and routines.
Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
A varied role supporting both primary and secondary students across the school. You will work alongside staff to manage behaviour positively, provide interventions and help maintain a calm and supportive learning environment.
Supply SEMH Teaching Assistant
Perfect for candidates looking for flexibility or part-time work. You'll provide day-to-day cover across the school, supporting different classes and students where needed. Previous SEMH experience is essential.
The Ideal Candidate
Due to the complex needs of the students, previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, trauma, attachment needs or challenging behaviour is essential.
