Childminding Assistants Position
This is a job for someone more mature, who's had experience looking after children so know how demanding the job can be at times. I'm looking for 3, 4 or 5 days per week
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Childminding Assistant to support the development and well-being of children in a nurturing environment. This role involves working closely with children to promote their growth, safety, and happiness. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for childcare and be committed to creating a positive experience for young learners. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times during working hours
- Assist with organising craft activities, outings, and educational activities
- Support children's daily routines, including meal times, naps, and hygiene needs
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and behaviour
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment for children to thrive in
- Support language development by encouraging communication in English
Requirements
- Experience or interest in childcare, teaching, nannying, or related fields is desirable
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive nature with a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to work flexibly according to family needs, including occasional baby sitting outside regular hours with extra pay, not essential.
- Strong organisational skills to manage daily routines effectively
- Previous experience in childcare or similar roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
