Job Overview
This role is funded through Bridges to Wellbeing which is an exciting and collaborative project between WATCH CIO, ARK at Egwood, Open Doors Somerset and Chard Community Hub funded by The National Lottery. We all aim to promote every aspect of wellbeing; physical, emotional, mental, social and financial. We are also firmly committed to working with the health of our planet and getting people to connect in with the natural world not only to look after our environment but also to benefit personal wellbeing. Through our activities we aim to reduce isolation and loneliness in Somerset as well as empower people to reconnect with their own innate resilience, enjoy being part of a community and secure peer friendships along the way and to bring about hope
Responsibilities
Wellbeing Coordinator – Thursday Project
- Support members on a Thursday and create an environment for members to reach their full potential
- Help plan activities for the coming month
- Support members with their passports and activities – plan and support activities
- Work with other Coordinators of the three Bridges to Wellbeing partners
- Attend Reaching Communities Project Coordinator meetings
- Meet with new members and complete the membership process
- Work to engage with and attract new members to the Project Provide project information for the Watch website
- Flexible 5 hours
- Support visits to local farms with volunteers
- Support local events
- Peer passport work
- Co-Facilitate courses as appropriate
Key skills:
Discretion and trustworthiness: you will often be party to confidential information
- Excellent verbal, written and IT communication skills
- Supervisory and motivational skills to help support volunteers
- Organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
- The ability to be proactive and take the initiative
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office and Teams
Pay: £13.66 per hour
