Job description
Urban Environments is a growing and reputable water hygiene company specialising in Legionella control and compliance. We are currently looking for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team.
This is a mobile role covering multiple sites including residential, commercial, healthcare, and public sector buildings. You will play a key role in helping our clients maintain safe and compliant water systems.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines
- Conduct water temperature monitoring (hot & cold systems)
- Perform cold water storage tank inspections
- Undertake water sampling for microbiological testing
- Inspect hot water vessels and associated systems
- Service and maintain Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs)
- Support chlorination and disinfection work
- Accurately complete reports using our in-house digital logbook system (CAT-Si)
RequirementsEssential:
- Legionella Risk Assessor / Legionella Awareness certification (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of HSE ACOP L8 and HSG274
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Legionella risk assessing / water hygiene
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- Experience in cleaning and disinfecting water systems
