Cormack Islander Aircraft is a specialised aircraft maintenance company located in Cumbernauld. With over 100 years of combined experience, our team is highly skilled in working on the BN2 Islander. We offer a range of services including maintenance, repairs, modifications, parts supply, and aircraft surveys. In addition to maintaining BN2 Islanders, we also provide high-quality work on various light aircraft.
Role Description
We are currently hiring for a Technical Records Staff member, this job involves maintaining accurate and up to date aircraft maintenance records to ensure compliance with regulations, airworthiness requirements and company procedures.
Responsibilities
- Follow the procedures as set out in the MOE, MPM and CAME.
- Maintain and update aircraft records
- Completing aircraft log books with times flown
- Generating check packs outlining the work to be carried out during maintenance.
- Completing Component Cards, recording changes, new items fitted etc.
- Amendments to manuals.
- Review maintenance release documents for completeness and accuracy.
- General office duties, i.e. filing, photocopying, faxing etc.
- Generating invoices
- Assist in the smooth daily running of the business
- Ensure effective communication both internally and externally
- Provide office guests with a hospitable experience
- Keeping paperwork up to date and stored appropriately
- Interact with IT, phone and building personnel as needed

Attention to detail is key in an industry which is highly regulated and safety is a priority.
Excellent interpersonal skills are essential and the ability to build effective working relations across all departments in the organisation.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, organise, and prioritise work.
- Hold, or have held, a valid Human Factors certification
- Previous experience in Technical Records, CAMO, Maintenance Planning or Aircraft Maintenance, is preferred.
- You have personal integrity and good business understanding
- For this role you must also have evidence of the right to work in the UK.

Additional Information
Our working hours are Monday-Friday 0800-1630.
All employees are entitled to 28 days holiday a year (including bank holidays), once you have completed two continuous years, your holiday entitlement will increase one day per year to a maximum of 33 days.
After completion of the probationary period, you will have the option to join the company health care scheme.
Once you have completed one year of continuous employment, you will be enrolled in the Employee Owned Trust.
