Pay Rates:
£13.74 per hour for shifts between 06:00 and 22:00
£14.54 per hour for shifts between 22:00 and 06:00
Shift Patterns Available:
AM Shifts 05:30 - 13:30, 06:00 - 14:00, 07:00 - 15:00, 06:00 - 18:00
PM Shifts 13:30 - 21:30, 14:00 - 22:00
Night Shifts 18:00 - 06:00, 19:00 - 05:00, 20:00 - 06:00

Major Recruitment is recruiting Skilled Production Operatives on behalf of a leading food manufacturer in Wombwell. This is a great opportunity to join a busy factory producing chilled egg products. We have a variety of shifts available, so you can choose the pattern that suits you.
The Role:
As a Skilled Food Production Operative, you will be responsible for running production machinery safely and efficiently while ensuring products meet the highest quality, food safety and customer standards. You will play an important role in supporting the production team and helping the factory achieve daily production targets.
Your Duties:
- Set up and operate production machinery safely
- Carry out pre-start machine safety checks
- Follow the daily production plan and running order
- Monitor machine performance and production output
- Complete quality, weight and metal detection checks
- Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately
- Carry out product changeovers efficiently
- Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and GMP standards
- Minimise waste and improve production efficiency
- Report machine faults and production issues promptly
- Train and support new Production Operatives when required
- Help investigate production and quality issues
- Work closely with other departments to keep production running smoothly
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, ideally chilled food production
- Experience operating production machinery
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and GMP standards
- Knowledge of HACCP and quality procedures is desirable
- Good problem-solving skills
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and confidence working with different departments
- Good English communication skills, both spoken and written
- Reliable, flexible and committed
- Positive attitude with a strong attention to detail
