A Simple Fixer Property & Maintenance Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to oversee building maintenance, facilities services, contractors, and day-to-day technical operations across residential and commercial properties.
The successful candidate will coordinate building services and maintenance activities while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day building services and maintenance operations
- Coordinate planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance
- Manage contractors, engineers, technicians, tradespeople, and suppliers
- Oversee mechanical, electrical, heating, plumbing, and general building services
- Monitor maintenance schedules, budgets, costs, and service performance
- Coordinate repairs, inspections, installations, and improvement works
- Support building health, safety, and compliance requirements
- Manage contractor performance and service quality
- Respond to operational issues and maintenance escalations
- Maintain service records, reports, and contractor documentation
Requirements
- Experience in building services, facilities management, property maintenance, engineering, or a related area
- Experience coordinating contractors, maintenance teams, or technical services
- Good understanding of building maintenance and facilities operations
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple properties, projects, and priorities
- Good contractor and supplier-management abilities
- Familiarity with building systems and health and safety practices is advantageous
- Relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience is preferred
