Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Admin Assistant to support our rapidly growing electrical contracting business. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining smooth administrative processes, ensuring effective communication, and assisting with various clerical tasks. Duties
- Managing incoming calls with professional phone etiquette and directing enquiries appropriately
- Organising and maintaining physical and digital filing systems for easy retrieval of documents
- Data entry and updating records using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
- Assisting with scheduling appointments, meetings, and calendar management
- Preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations as required
- Supporting invoicing, billing, and basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
- Handling general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing
- Providing support to team members with various clerical tasks to ensure operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Previous office experience or administrative experience is preferred
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace tools
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent typing skills with attention to accuracy and speed
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, along with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle data entry tasks efficiently and accurately
- Demonstrated organisational ability with attention to detail and confidentiality
