Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about food service, catering, and culinary arts, looking to gain valuable experience in a dynamic kitchen environment. The successful candidate will support the culinary team in meal preparation and food safety, contributing to the smooth operation of our establishment.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with recipes and standards
- Support catering services by preparing ingredients and plating dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and utensils
- Ensure food safety protocols are adhered to at all times
- Help with serving food to customers or guests as required
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory checks of ingredients and supplies
- Support the team during busy periods by performing various kitchen tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food preparation, meal assembly, and basic culinary techniques
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
