Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant / Lead with strong expertise in Snowflake, GitHub, and Octopus Deploy to lead the design, implementation, and deployment of modern cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, DevOps, CI/CD automation, and cloud technologies, with the ability to mentor teams and drive technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data solutions using Snowflake.
- Lead the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Octopus Deploy.
- Build and maintain secure, automated deployment processes for cloud-based data platforms.
- Develop and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines for large-scale data processing.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure platform security, governance, and compliance best practices are followed.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements.
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across project teams.
- Participate in solution architecture, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
- Drive DevOps best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–20 years of IT experience with strong expertise in data engineering and cloud technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake administration, development, and performance optimization.
- Strong experience using GitHub for source code management and version control.
- Expertise in Octopus Deploy for release management and deployment automation.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and data integration frameworks.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or similar).
- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or other DevOps tools.
- Snowflake or cloud certifications are desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Pay: £60,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
