The Role
We are looking for an experienced Aircraft Mechanic with around 8 years of practical aircraft maintenance experience, including hands-on experience working on both piston and small turbine-powered aircraft.
We can offer flexibility around working arrangements, with the opportunity to work either standard full-time hours or an agreed shift pattern, depending on your preference and the needs of the operation.
The successful candidate will play an important role within our maintenance operation, carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
The role offers a competitive salary of around £48,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
· Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and replace aircraft components and systems.
· Carry out routine servicing, inspections and defect rectification.
· Perform maintenance activities on piston and small turbine aircraft and engines.
· Assist with engine changes, servicing, inspections and associated maintenance tasks.
· Diagnose mechanical and engine-related defects and carry out effective fault finding.
· Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately and in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
· Work from aircraft maintenance manuals, technical publications and approved maintenance data.
· Identify and report aircraft defects and maintenance issues.
· Work effectively with engineers, inspectors and other maintenance personnel.
· Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship at all times.
· Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant aviation regulations, approved data and company procedures.
· Support aircraft ground operations and general maintenance activities as required.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
· Approximately 8 years’ aircraft maintenance experience, or a strong equivalent level of practical experience.
· Proven hands-on experience with both piston and small turbine aircraft.
· Good knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and associated components.
· Practical experience with piston and turbine engine maintenance.
· Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
· The ability to read and work from technical manuals and maintenance documentation.
· A strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detail.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· The ability to work independently and take responsibility for the quality of your work.
