At Cattows Farm we are looking for an experienced, organised and proactive team member to join our small but growing kitchen team.
This is not a typical kitchen assistant role. You will take ownership of your own section, preparing and serving a wide range of dishes whilst helping us maintain the high standards our customers have come to expect.
About The Role
You will take ownership of your section and be an important part of our small kitchen team.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes and soup service
- Preparing salad bowls, wraps, flatbreads and hash brown bowls
- Preparing Breakfast wraps, pancakes, French toast and banana bread
- Preparing Afternoon Tea sandwiches and assisting with Afternoon Tea service
- Assisting with food preparation across the wider kitchen
- Monitoring stock levels, requesting items for ordering and stock rotation
- Food safety records, temperature checks and kitchen documentation
- Supporting cleaning schedules and maintaining food safety standards
- Helping with deliveries and keeping stock organised
Working Pattern
Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (9am - 4pm)
Week 2 - Friday, Saturday, Sunday (9am - 4pm)
Additional hours may be available during busy periods and holiday cover, therefore flexibility is important.
About The Team
At Cattows Farm many of our team members have been with us for several years and we're proud of the friendly, supportive culture we've built. Everyone helps each other and we're looking for someone who'll become part of the team rather than just fill a position.
This role does require someone who can work independently, stay organised and take ownership of their section, but you'll be surrounded by experienced colleagues who genuinely care about the business and each other.
About You
You will:
- Have previous kitchen or food preparation experience
- Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate
- Be organised and able to manage your own workload
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Be confident working in a busy environment
- Understand the importance of food allergies and dietary requirements
- Be reliable, proactive and willing to get stuck in
