About Us
We are a long-established international shipping and maritime business with extensive experience in global shipping markets. As part of our continued expansion, we are strengthening our UK operations and are looking to recruit an experienced Shipbroker to join our London office. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing commercial relationships between the UK, Türkiye and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and negotiate chartering opportunities with shipowners and charterers.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Source cargoes and vessels while matching suitable commercial opportunities.
- Negotiate charter party terms and commercial contracts.
- Monitor freight markets and provide commercial advice to clients.
- Coordinate closely with shipowners, operators, agents and port authorities.
- Prepare market reports and maintain accurate records of negotiations.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events and commercial negotiations.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' professional experience as a Shipbroker.
- Previous shipbroking experience in both Türkiye and Malta.
- Excellent understanding of international shipping and chartering markets.
- Fluent in English and Turkish, both written and spoken.
- Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to an international team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Established network of contacts within the maritime industry.
- Experience working with international shipowners, charterers and brokers.
- Knowledge of charter party documentation and shipping regulations.
