Dental Nurse / Trainee Dental Nurse (3 Days/Week – Mon, Tue, Wed)
Are you a caring Dental Nurse—or an enthusiastic Trainee with clinical experience—looking for a stable, friendly practice to grow your career?
At Mere Dental Practice, we are a well-established private team entirely committed to providing exceptional care to our local community. We are looking for a passionate team player to join us three days a week (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays).
Because this role splits time between clinical support and front-of-house reception, you will truly be the welcoming face and backbone of our practice.
Your Impact and Daily Role
In this role, you will ensure our patients feel safe, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door to the moment they leave. You will work across both the clinic and reception, providing seamless support to our dentists and hygienists while keeping our day running smoothly. Whether you are fully qualified or a trainee with hands-on practice experience, you will play a vital role in our patient's oral health journey.
What You Will Do:
- Provide chairside support: Assist our dentists and hygienists during a variety of private dental procedures, keeping patient comfort your top priority.
- Manage your surgery: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, maintain equipment, and take/develop digital x-rays.
- Welcome our patients: Run the reception desk by answering phone calls, greeting patients, managing appointments, and handling administrative tasks.
- Keep impeccable records: Maintain accurate patient documentation and digital files within our dental software.
What You Bring:
- Qualifications or experience: A Dental Nursing qualification with GDC registration (or actively working towards it), or relevant hands-on dental practice experience.
- A split-role mindset: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently switch between busy clinical tasks and friendly reception duties.
- A caring nature: A compassionate, calm, and attentive attitude that instantly puts nervous patients at ease.
- Great teamwork: Fluency in English (written and spoken), strong organizational skills, and a genuine desire to be an active part of a close-knit team.
What We Offer:
- Competitive pay: A salary tailored to your current experience and qualifications.
- A great workspace: A supportive, warm, and friendly team environment equipped with modern dental facilities.
- A reliable schedule: Fixed part-time hours every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
