Job Overview
We are looking for two reliable and hardworking Laundry Workshop Production Operatives to join our busy commercial laundry team on a permanent, part-time basis.
This is a hands-on role working within our laundry workshop, helping to process linen efficiently and to a high standard. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating laundry equipment, pressing, folding and packing linen ready for delivery to our customers.
Availability to work on Tuesdays and Fridays is essential for this position. Applicants must be able to commit to working on both of these days as part of their regular working week.
We are looking for people who are dependable, efficient, organised and comfortable working in a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading commercial washing machines
- Sorting and preparing linen for washing and processing
- Pressing and ironing linen to the required standard
- Folding linen neatly and consistently
- Packing and preparing clean linen ready for customer deliveries
- Checking linen for quality, cleanliness and presentation
- Safely operating washing machines, irons and other laundry equipment
- Following the correct procedures when using workshop machinery and equipment
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and organised throughout the shift
- Working efficiently to meet daily laundry production requirements
- Handling linen and laundry safely, including regular lifting and movement of laundry loads
- Following all company procedures, workshop rules and health and safety guidelines
- Reporting any equipment faults, damaged linen or other issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Working as part of the wider laundry team to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
Essential Requirements
The successful candidates must:
- Be available to work Tuesdays and Fridays
- Be reliable, punctual and committed to their agreed working hours
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Be able to work efficiently in a busy, hands-on production environment
- Have good attention to detail and take pride in producing high-quality work
- Be comfortable carrying out repetitive and physical tasks throughout the shift
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Follow workshop procedures and instructions accurately
- Understand the importance of workplace health and safety
- Be willing and able to use commercial laundry equipment correctly and safely
Previous experience in a commercial laundry, housekeeping, cleaning, warehouse or production environment would be beneficial but is not essential, as training can be provided.

- Tuesday and Friday availability is crucial and forms an essential part of the role
