Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods via 18 ton rigid lorries with tail lift across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate lorries to transport goods over short and long distances in accordance with road safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition.
- Load and secure cargo appropriately, ensuring it is stable and compliant with safety standards.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to legal driving hours.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed, including handballing when required
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during all driving activities.
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management for immediate action.
- Experienced In using Electric pump truck
- Must be willing to work 5 days a week Mon-Fri including Sunday occasionally where there will be extra pay

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with 18 ton lorries or similar vehicles.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV licence preferred).
- Delivery driver experience demonstrating punctuality, reliability, and excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations, vehicle maintenance, and cargo securing techniques.
- Ability to plan routes efficiently and adapt to changing schedules or road conditions.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle inspections.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with dispatch teams and clients. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics services, requiring a dedicated professional committed to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
