J.A. Waters Butchers is a well-established, family-run butcher shop looking for an experienced butcher to join our team.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent product knowledge, and is willing to use their own initiative to help drive the business forward. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and confident working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and cutting meat to a high standard
- Producing customer orders
- Serving customers and providing excellent customer service
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards
- Assisting with stock control and displays
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the shop
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service
Requirements
- Previous butchery experience essential
- Strong knife skills and product knowledge
- Ability to work using your own initiative
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Friendly and professional with customers
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
Hours
- Approximately 42 hours per week
- Saturday working required (half day)
- One weekday off each week
- Overtime opportunities available
Salary
£26,500 - £32,750 per annum, depending on experience.
