A growing safety, quality and environmental consultancy based in central Leamington Spa requires to add to a growing team. We are expanding more into the London market, so require someone willing and capable of taking the lead with our london customers.
The job is a management position which would suit someone with experience within the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Industry. Health and Safety or Lead Auditor qualifications are required. A strong work ethic and management mindset is essential.
This role will be split between time in London (~3 days-ish) and time in the midlands (~1 days) a week, so could suit someone living in or between either location. Home working is permitted to fill in the gaps between site and office requirements.
Role & Responsibilities
Provide support and leadership to the internal team and clients by managing the identified actions and workload to ensure contractual and/or compliance obligations are meet by all parties:
- Undertaking and documenting quality, environmental & H&S audits, or inspections at Client Sites.
- Reviewing, updating, and documenting risk assessments including fire risk assessments.
- Reviewing, updating, and documenting H&S Policy.
- Reviewing, updating, and documenting ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 manuals. Training provided if the chosen candidate does not have this experience.
- Providing basic H&S, quality and environmental advice and guidance to clients when requested by phone or email.
- Undertake and document accident/incident investigations when requested. Including where emergency call outs are required.
- Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as required by professional bodies e.g. IOSH/CQI.
- Client account management acting as key consultant through regular Communications and management of clients on a regular basis to ensure lasting relationships are built and actions set are met in a timely manner.
- Updating Internal administration in a timely manner to support the management and commercial aspects of the business are meet.
- Drive continuous improvement within the organisation and customers to help develop internal & external processes.
- Supporting Office Manager and Managing Consultant with Marketing and business development.
- Carry out other tasks as directed by the Managing Consultant.
Working Hours/Special Requirements
- 0900 -1700 plus additional reasonable hours as required to carry out the main functions and tasks required on any given day.
- Office and field based.
- A car and license are essential.
Qualifications & Experienced
- Health and Safety qualifications e.g. NEBOSH Certificate is essential.
- Internal Auditor training e.g. ISO 9001 Internal Auditor is prefereable.
- Management Systems experience e.g. ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001 is preferable.
- Graduate Degree would be advantageous.
- Tech IOSH Membership is essential.
- PCQI Membership would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Achilles, CHAS and other SSIP standards would be advantageous
- Experience working in manufacturing, construction or similar.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Report & Policy Writing skills.
- Management training would be advantageous
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and general IT awareness essential.
