Café Manager – Bradley Fold Garden Centre
Location: On-site at Bradley Fold Garden Cen Hours: Full time, including regular weekend work on a rota basis.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Manager to lead our busy café at Bradley Fold Garden Centre. As Café Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the café, ensuring excellent customer service, high standards of food quality, and a well-managed, motivated team.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality service at all times.
· Maintain a proactive approach to help manage high levels of foot traffic efficiently whilst maintain excelled customer service.
· Nurture a welcoming atmosphere by demonstrating politeness and approachability.
· Manage queues and address customer enquiries and concerns promptly.
· Lead, supervise, motivate and develop café team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
· Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training, uniforms and performance to maintain a strong and effective team.
· Take responsibility for stock control, ordering, and stock rotation to minimise waste and ensure availability.
· Ensure all food safety, health & safety, and hygiene standards are upheld in line with company policy and legislation.
· Monitor and manage sales, labour costs, and wastage, driving performance and profitability.
· Oversee opening and closing procedures and always ensure operational readiness.
· Continuously look for opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
· Proven management experience within a café, restaurant, or fast-paced hospitality environment.
· Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on management style.
· Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for food and hospitality.
· Highly organised with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
· Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.
· A proactive, reliable, and positive attitude with the ability to lead by example.

About Our Business
Bradley Fold Garden Centre is an independent family run business with a well established café of over 10 years. Trading hours are Monday to Saturday 9am till 4:30pm and Sunday 10am till 4pm. We are a very busy café with 120 covers and a team of 5 chefs.
